05.04.10  - BUBBLE SHOW QUESTIONS FOR 'OLD CHRISTINE', 'CHUCK', 'GHOST WHISPERER', 'ONE TREE HILL'
The producers of another bubble show, CW's One Tree Hill, will pitch their ideas for next season this coming week. The show's creator Mark Schwahn, who is under an overall deal at CBS Studios, has inked an "if come" deal with One Tree Hill studio Warner Bros to return to the show if it's picked up, which should bolster its chances. With veteran One Tree Hill competing against freshman Life Unexpected for a renewal (proven track record at a higher price vs. lower ratings but upswing potential and lower cost), there is a possibility that the two shows will get partial orders to share a time slot. Or, since they come from each of the two partners at The CW (One Tree Hill is produced by WBTV, Life Unexpected by CBS Studios), it is possible the toss-up renewal will be used to balance the orders between the two studios. If one of them gets disproportionally more pilots picked up to series, the other might get its bubble show renewed.

'OTH' STAR ROBERT BUCKLEY TWEETS THROUGH 'LEARNING TO FAIL'
Fans of "One Tree Hill" got a special treat with Monday's (May 3) episode "Learning to Fail." As part of The CW Tweet Week, star Robert Buckley signed on to do a "tweet-a-thon" during the East Coast airing to answer fans' questions and give us some behind-the-scenes info.

Of course, there's one thing on every fan's mind: Will this be the show's final season? Buckley is waiting for answers himself. "I have ZERO clue about season 8. I'm hopeful that we will return but until they make an announcement, nothing's ever a done deal," he writes. An official announcement about next year's "One Tree Hill" status is expected from The CW on or before May 20.

During the episode, Buckley's character Clay deals with an extremely persistent stalker, Katie (Amanda Schull), who happens to be the spitting image of his dead wife, Sara. Katie is hardly the first crazy creepster on "One Tree Hill"; we've seen a crazy nanny, a crazy basketball groupie, a crazy fake biological brother, and a crazy-adorable singer-songwriter in a Batman costume, to name a few. "What can I say? Tree Hill is like the mecca of chemically imbalanced psychos," Buckley tweets.

That's not to say it's not fun. "My favorite part of this episode... hmm, probably my scenes with Amanda (psycho!) and Shantel [Vansanten] (Quinn). We always manage to have a good time, and to Amanda Schull's credit, she's one of the sweetest people I've ever met/worked with. But man, does she play a great psycho, right?"

Buckley also commented on his other co-stars, 9-year-old Jackson Brundage and his on-screen dad James Lafferty. According to Buckley, working with the duo is "AWESOME. James and I are good buddies so it was always comfortable..meaning one and/or both of us was goofing off. And Jack... well that little man is hands down the coolest guy on the show. Always in a good mood and ready for a dance off."

05.07.10  - QUICK NOTE: So sorry news has not been updated this week. It has not been a good week for us here at OTHWebnet. For one our cable went out Monday night, due to a bad storm and we missed OTH, yes we know tragic. Since then we've had lots of rain and very sketchy internet connection. We realize there is a lot that went on this week and hopefully by Monday we'll have a big re-cap of news for you posted.

CHAD & SOPHIA SPOTTED GETTING STARBUCKS - BUT NOT TOGETHER
Just Jared recently posted some candids of Sophia Bush and former OTH star Chad Michael Murray out and about running errands around Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 4th.

Chad and his longtime fiancée Kenzie Dalton were spotted at Starbucks Coffee getting a caffeine fix in Studio City while Sophia left nail salon Beverly Hills before grabbing an iced coffee to quench her java thirst.

Check out photos of Chad and Sophia at JustJared.com!

MICHAEL GRUBBS ON WAKEY!WAKEY! & THE FINALE'S 'CRAZY TWIST'
Michael Grubbs talked to Zap2it.com about WAKEY!WAKEY! and the surprise twist for the OTH season seven finale. Below is part of the article surrounding info about the season finale, but click here to read the article in its entirety.

Before we worry about next season, fans of "One Tree Hill" have two more Season 7 episodes to fret about. "When I read the finale the first time, I literally was like 'What?!'" Grubbs says enthusiastically. "I was on the plane flying to Wilmington and I yelled, 'No way!' out loud on the flight. Get ready. It's really, really good."

Earlier this month, James Lafferty revealed to Zap2it that two finale endings were shot. The one that airs on May 17 will depend on whether the network picks up the show -- if they've made a decision before then.

"If there's another season, we'll hit you with a crazy twist," Grubbs tells us. "Look, the ending we'll use if we get another season is just so insane. We could never use it as the series finale, with these twists and turns, because we could never do that to the fans and not wrap it up. It would just be evil."

05.09.10  - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mother's Day from ONETREEHILLWEB.NET!

This message is definitely a lot later than we planned, but better late than never, right? We hope all of you Mothers, Grandmothers, Godmothers - however motherly you may be - had a wonderful and happy day today. We'd also like to send out a special wish to former-OTH star/new mom Hilarie Burton, our sisters, and of course our wonderful mother/best friend. We love you Mom! Happy Mother's Day!

Always,

LET'S SET A TRENDING TWEET FOR OTH TODAY!
Tonight between 7-9PM EST with the help of Allison Mack (Smallville) fans we will be trying to trend the topic #WeareONETH on Twitter. Word has it the CW Network will be making their decision on OTH today and we want them to see how much we want another season. The more people we have tweeting with us the better!

Below are a few helpful tips to help get us trending....

1) Try to do AT LEAST 20 tweets per half hour.
2) Only put the tag #WeareONETH in ONCE per tweet or it doesn't count and just looks tacky.
3) Not sure if it counts or not, we've heard both ... if you re-tweet type out the "RT @___" instead of hitting the re-tweet button.
4) Try to direct tweets to large OTH related accounts such as @CW_network, @RealOneTreeHill, @OTHWebnet, @OneTreeHillBugs. To avoid annoying other followers. Mainly the @CW_network since that's who we want to take notice.
5) International fans OR even those not in the same timezone you can help too by using www.futuretweets.com!

Please, make sure you are FOLLOWING US as we will be tweeting the entire two hours and keeping everyone updated.

SOPHIA, AUSTIN & JANA HELP OUT IN LOS ANGELES
After wrapping up production for One Tree Hill, The Chalet Girl, and Southern Discomfort, Sophia Bush has been enjoying a much needed break back home on the West Coast. After an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson the night before (watch here!), Sophia met up with co-star Jana Kramer on May 7th at the P.S. Arts Presents The Bag Lunch where they took home handbags from designers like Stella McCartney and Alexander Wang. The P.S. Arts are dedicated to helping restore the arts programs in public education.

Later that night Sophia hit up the annual 'Race to Erase MS' event with Austin Nichols. Sophia wore a Monique Lhuillier printed dress while her on-screen/off-screen boyfriend Austin wore a John Varvatos suit. You can check out photos from both events at JustJared.com!

'ONE TREE HILL' FANS RALLY FOR A SEASON 8
Whoever says we're not a dedicated unit - they're crazy! Check out this post from WECT News 6 in Wilmington, North Carolina - where OTH is filmed.

It's still uncertain if the hit television show One Tree Hill will be signed on for another season, but if fans of the show have their way, the show will stay.

On Saturday, fans rallied on the Battleship Park's basketball courts. The courts are a popular filming location for the show.

The group made a banner expressing their support, and posed for pictures to send off to the CW Network. They hope that the pictures will show the network how much One Tree Hill means to its fans.

People at the rally came as far as South Carolina, Miami, and even France.

05.11.10  - SEASON SEVEN CLOSES WITH A SONG FROM NASHVILLE SKYLINE
Mark Schwahn is dedicated to every aspect of his show, while he writes and directs every season premiere and finale of One Tree Hill - he wasn't quite expected to do what he did with the CODA song for this weeks season seven finale. Check out Mark's blog post about the special song "Carry You Home" by Nashville Skyline and watch a video of behind-the-scenes footage as the song was recorded at CWTV.com!

"Carry You Home" is also now available for download on iTunes!

05.13.10  - AUSIELLO FILES: THE LATEST PICKUP/CANCELLATION BUZZ IS HERE!
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello had somewhat of a scoop today when he dished about definite cancellations and renewals, as well as the possibility for either. Right now OTH's future is still 'up in the air', but read below to what Ausiello had to say about the 'latest happenings' over at The CW network.

The CW is said to be strongly considering renewing both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected for 12 episodes apiece. Among new shows, the Nikita reboot is a lock, Scott Porter's Nomads is flirting with a possible midseason order, and ASP's The Wyoming Project is... generating absolutely no buzz.

PROMOS FOR THE SEASON FINALE!
Check out these two promos for One Tree Hill's seventh season finale that airs THIS Monday! NOTE: Please do not be 'alarmed' by the "Goodbye" promo. Mark Schwahn and The CW have prepared for BOTH outcomes, so while you'll see ads for a 'season' finale, you might also see something that appears like the finale is a little more 'final'. While it might frustrate you to no end, let's just keep positive thoughts, keep watching, keep promoting, keeping telling The CW that you want another season, keep your fingers crossed, and keep the faith.

We also threw in a little sneak peek scene between Haley and Jamie! Warning: Scenes can always be a little spoiler-ish, but don't say we didn't tell you that. ;)

TWO 'OTH' STARS SPOTTED IN OTHER GIGS
So, basically our Twitters blew up over the last couple of days when all of you let us know that you spotted not one, but two One Tree Hill cast members on something that wasn't OTH. Earlier this week Jackson Brundage (Jamie Scott) was seen guest-starring on an episode of NCIS where he played the role of Tommy Smith while looking as adorable as ever!

Lindsey McKeon aka Taylor James worked a bar in a quite funny Miller Light commercial. You can watch a video of it below!

CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY IN ALICIA KEYS VIDEO
What is with these former One Tree Hill stars being so sneaky? First we find out that Hilarie Burton has been a Mom for the past few months and now Chad Michael Murray randomly turns up in the new Alicia Keys music video for 'Un-Thinkable'. *shakes head*

While we don't have any photos of Hilarie's bundle of joy, we do have not only set pictures, not only behind-the-scenes footage, but the actual music video as well! Check out one of the videos below to watch (click as they're playing to increase the size) and click HERE or HERE to see photos of Chad on set ..."in character".

LTTS EXCLUSIVE: JACKSON BRUNDAGE TALKS CHARITY
He's been described as "simply adorable," but 9-year-old actor Jackson Brundage is much more than that -- he is one of the most intelligent and giving young actors in the industry.

Jackson is best known for his role as Jamie Scott on CW Network's hit show One Tree Hill, but has also recently turned heads with a role on NCIS. And for the last two years, he has attended the annual CURED charity fundraiser for children with Eosinophilic Disease, held in Arlington Heights.

The disease is truly devastating -- 1 in 1000 children suffer from it, and either get their nutrition from feeding tube or by drinking an amino acid formula. We were lucky enough to talk to this up-and-coming young star about his experiences of the charity event and his thoughts on making the world a better place.

05.16.10 - DANNEEL'S WEDDING: DETAILS ON HER GOWN & A MINI OTH REUNION
We've identified Danneel's wedding gown as a Monique Lhuillier silk faille gown from the Fall 2010 bridal collection by the designer. As we mentioned last night, Elisabeth Harnois who co-starred on One Tree Hill with Danneel during season three - she played "Clean Teen" Shelly - was at the wedding. We found out today that Elisabeth actually served as Danneel's Maid of Honor, and that Hilarie Burton and Bevin Prince were also a part of her bridal party.

We don't know who else from OTH, if any, that attended the ceremony. We'll keep you posted. For details on Danneel's wedding gown, visit TreeHillStyle.com! Again, congratulations to Danneel and Jensen!

BETHANY JOY ON ONE TREE HILL, THE NOTEBOOK & FUTURE PLANS
Examiner.com -- Bethany Joy Galeotti defines the word talent in just about every dimension. With her leading role on One Tree Hill, Galeotti has shown us she can act, sing, write music, and even direct. There's no doubt Galeotti has thrived these past seven years with the role of Haley James Scott. A role that if described into one word would be 'versatile', as we've seen her go from a high school student, to a wife, singer, mother, teacher, music producer, sister, friend, and just about everything in between! Yet as Galeotti told me in our exclusive interview, playing the diverse role of Haley has not been much different than the role she takes on in her own life, as a person with her hands dipped in various projects. | Continue reading...

OTH MUSIC SUPERVISOR LINDSAY WOLFINGTON FILLS IN THE BLANKS
TeenDramaWhore -- Tomorrow night s episode of One Tree Hill will be the last of the seventh season and possibly the last of the series. As the show s music supervisor, Lindsay Wolfington has been a constant presence throughout more than 150 episodes, carefully choosing the songs that make us laugh, cry and spend hours on iTunes.

Wolfington was kind enough and fun enough to play a quick game of Fill In The Blank. | Continue reading...

DID ONE TREE HILL GET AN EIGHTH SEASON?
We've received quite a number of emails and tweets asking if it was true that One Tree Hill got picked up for an eighth season because a few "non-official" Facebook profiles and a couple of sites reported so. The answer is... probably. Sorry that it can't be more of a 'Yes'. While there's a great possibility that there will be an eighth season, considering there hasn't been ANY official word, a press release was not issued, and the Upfronts are still a few days away - we can not say 100% that OTH will be back this fall. Things look really good, so keep your fingers crossed!

We will be at the CW Upfronts this week so when we know, you'll know. The answer will be posted here on OneTreeHillWeb.net and we'll tweet it from our Twitter @OTHWebnet - follow us! If a press release/statement gets issued beforehand, then we'll all know that much sooner. :)

INSPIRE MAGAZINE INTERVIEWS JACKSON BRUNDAGE!
J-Man (Jackson Brundage) sits down with Inspire magazine and talks about the show, his life, and even his new girlfriend Gabby. For years now, Brundage has been able to star along the hottest celebrities on the CW. Now, Brundage is off to reign the ranks among other young Hollywood children.

Brundage, cute and friendly, shot some pictures with Inspire in Santa Clarita. He seems like the ideal pocket-sized 9-year-old that you just have to steal and bring home. Brundage is remains to be the cutest kid on television and will always steal the scenes from the other "OTH" stars.

05.18.10 - ONE TREE HILL GETS 8th SEASON!
EW's Michael Ausiello just tweeted that One Tree Hill as well as Life Unexpected have gotten another season on The CW!

The full story is coming...we'll keep you posted!
You may all now squeal. :)

There wasn't much of a full story, but Michael Ausiello did have this to say: As expected, The CW has opted to bring back both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected for what is believe to be 12 episodes apiece (a rep wouldn't confirm the exact number). The net also picked up the Tom Welling-produced cheerleading drama Hellcats and its reboot of Nikita. | MORE

ROBERT BUCKLEY GIVES FANS SOME LOVE
via Accidental Sexiness -- Television hunk Robert Buckley took some time before his appearance on The Wendy Williams Show to greet some fans that were waiting out front on Monday, May 17th. The One Tree Hill star looked adorable in a relaxed suit and a sexy smirk.

Did you know that before Buckley made his way to Hollywood he studied to economics? He even worked as a consultant in the field before quiting to make his dreams come true. "I studied economics, did it (worked) for a day-and-a-half and on day two, I hated it. I remember calling my mum in my cubicle and I was like, 'I've got to quit... I called her everyday on the way to work."

TREE HILL, TRENDS ON TWITTER!
Last week, with the help of some new Allison Mack friends we were able to get #WeareONETH trending on Twitter for more than 45 minutes worldwide, even trumping Just Bieber for awhile. However, last night in an effort to trend again and with the amazing season finale we started to see 'Tree Hill' trending all over. From Chicago to Atlanta, Boston to Dallas ... fans from all over showed up to tweet their support for the show and let the CW know we're not going anywhere.

It looks like everyone's hard work over the last few months has really paid off, we've got that SEASON 8!

'ONE TREE HILL' SEASON FINALE: IS THIS THE END?
Zap2it -- We don't know yet if "One Tree Hill" had its season or series finale tonight, but either way it sure went out with a bang. Literally.

According to Zap2it's own Korbi, the show filmed two separate finales in event it wasn't picked up for an eighth season. Considering the massive cliffhanger involved, I'm thinking the show is safe. If not, The CW brass better lock their office doors because some very angry fans are comin' a'knockin'!

OTH ALUMNI HITS NEW TV SHOWS THIS FALL
As was reported yesterday, The CW has picked up OTH for an eight season and along with that a few new shows, one being "Hellcats". What you may not know is that One Tree Hill alumni Matt Barr (Psycho Derek) and Robbie Jones (Quentin Fields) are part of the starring cast.

HELLCATS: The series stars Alyson Michalka and Ashley Tisdale and revolves around a college girl from the wrong side of the tracks who, after losing her scholarship because of budget cutbacks and her mother's chronic irresponsibility, joins the Hellcats, the college's competitive cheerleading team. The potential series is described as "Election meets Bring It On". The show is based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick.

More to come after this Thursdays Upfronts we're sure.

In addition, Danneel Harris' new show "Friends with Benefits" has been picked up by NBC; as well as Daniella Alonso who will star on ABC's "My Generation".

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS: From executive producers Brian Grazer (Parenthood, Arrested Development), director David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) and writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber ((500) Days of Summer) comes a comedy about five single friends, and how far they'll go for each other.

Dating is difficult. In fact, many times it's so uncomfortable that you have to look for creative ways to unwind after an unsuccessful night out. Ben, Sara, Hoon, Aaron and Riley are a group of close friends who do just that. After a bad date, they turn to each other for moral (and sometimes physical) support. Hey, what are friends for?

Set in Chicago, this comedy offers an honest look at the complexity of finding "the one," and the things one must do to survive along the way.

MY GENERATION:
What a difference ten years can make. In 2000, a documentary crew follows a disparate group of high schoolers from Greenbelt High School in Austin, TX as they prepare for graduation, then revisits these former classmates ten years later as they return home to rediscover that just because they're not where they planned doesn't mean they're not right where they need to be.

These students couldn't wait to graduate and head out into the real world. But the world they were entering got very real very fast. As these classmates return home to revisit their old hopes for their future, they'll discover that, even if you don't get exactly what you thought you wanted out of life, it's not too late to get what you need.

My Generation stars Michael Stahl David as Steven, Kelli Garner as Dawn, Jaime King as Jacqueline, Keir O'Donnell as Kenneth, Sebastian Sozzi as Falcon, Mechad Brooks as Rolly, Anne Son as Caroline, Daniella Alonso as Brenda and Julian Morris as Anders.

My Generation was created and written by Noah Hawley (The Unusuals, Bones).
My Generation airs this Fall, Thursdays @ 8PM EST on ABC.

TVADDICT'S OPEN LETTER TO MARK SCHWAHN
You brilliant, sappy, sadistic bastard.

Last night, you gave ONE TREE HILL fans a wonderful treat in which redemption was found, sanity was lost and a good time was had by all. You took us out of Tree Hill and put our favorites in a gorgeous mountain retreat so they could frolic in the snow and share emotional moments. You provided the cornyness we ve come to expect (the owl), the emotional payoffs we demand (Julian s proposal to Brooke) and, in what felt like a wonderful way for the series to end while still leaving us with the knowledge that life will go on in Tree Hill, another baby for Hayley and Nathan.

And then, you took it all away.

05.20.10 - THE CW ANNOUNCES 2010-11 SCHEDULE
May 20, 2010 (New York, New York) - The CW Network unveiled the schedule for its 2010-2011 season today at a presentation for advertisers, affiliates and national media in the Theater at Madison Square Garden, where singer Katy Perry rocked the house to open the show. The announcement was made by Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment, The CW.

After just four short years as a network, The CW will premiere our strongest schedule ever this fall, with a combination of hit shows and exciting new series giving us all-original programming five nights a week for the first time, said Ostroff. We ve been growing this network one hit at a time and we re poised for a great 2010-11 season. This year The Vampire Diaries was a smash out of the box for us, and another freshman show, Life Unexpected, also opened strong and began building an intense, loyal following. On the heels of breaking Gossip Girl and 90210 the last two seasons and the enduring popularity of Smallville, Supernatural, One Tree Hill and America s Next Top Model, we had more strong program development and believe we have the goods once again with Nikita and Hellcats, two shows that are fun, fast and loud, and will enable us to make noise in the marketplace this fall. These hot new dramas will extend The CW brand and our hold on the coveted young female demographic, with international action-film star Jackie-Chan prot g Maggie Q starring as Nikita, an empowered woman fighting for justice, and Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical and Aly Michalka of Bandslam in Hellcats, a lively new series about a pre-law student whose life turns upside down when she joins the cheerleading team at a major Southern university.

On Tuesday, ONE TREE HILL, the show loyal viewers demanded back, finds a new home in the 8:00-9:00 p.m. hour, followed by the second season of LIFE UNEXPECTED, last season s critically acclaimed show about a young girl who reunites with her birth parents after growing up in foster care. LIFE UNEXPECTED has a rapidly growing audience, and the two series are already a tried-and-true teaming, since LIFE UNEXPECTED, premiered at midseason behind ONE TREE HILL with strong audience retention.

After a seventh season that saw ONE TREE HILL continue to grow and break new ground, the show enters season eight with more than 150 episodes under its belt. The new season finds Brooke Davis happier than ever. Recently engaged to Julian, her wedding will be the captivating affair one might expect from a young, beautiful, successful fashion designer. As Nathan Scott prepares for his second season in the NBA, the Scott family is expecting their second child and Haley feels as though the baby will be a girl. How will she balance her pregnancy while raising Jamie and pursuing her music career? Also, Quinn and Clay s lives hang in the balance, the victims of a brutal attack which affects all of their friends and family. Season eight of ONE TREE HILL will explore the delicate balance that contemporary twenty-somethings face as they endeavor to build and define what their lives will be, while overcoming difficulties and embracing the good things that they sometimes take for granted, shrouded in the pursuit of someday. It will be a celebration of the most important things, among them the quest for love, laughter, health, friends, career and family: timeless pursuits that have always mattered, and matter now, in a place called Tree Hill. The series stars James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis, Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley James Scott, Robert Buckley as Clay Evans, Austin Nichols as Julian Baker, Shantel VanSanten as Quinn James and Jackson Brundage as Jamie Scott. ONE TREE HILL was created by Mark Schwahn and is executive produced by Schwahn, Joe Davola, Greg Prange, Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. ONE TREE HILL is a Mastermind Laboratories and Tollin/Robbins Production in association with Warner Bros. Television.

05.21.10 - WILL CHAD & HILARIE RETURN TO 'OTH'? ROBERT BUCKLEY WEIGHS IN
Gone are the days of One Tree Hill's Leyton (btw, we were always more of a Brucas fan). But now that the series has been rescued from the dredges of cancellation hell, will the wonder couple return?

We went straight to the source to find out—or rather the first castmember we ran into, but still a vitally important part of OTH and a man we hope to see alive and kickin' next season, Mr. Robert Buckley. Here's what he tells us:

"I'm not ruling anything out," he says with a little grin. "Knowing the way Mark Schwahn works...that guy is always pulling stuff out of his hat. Anything can happen." OK, but you're talking about the same dude who was responsible for you and your lady friend getting gunned down in cold blood! How can you trust him?

'OTH' STAR ROBERT BUCKLEY CELEBRATES RENEWAL NEWS
"One Tree Hill" is the CW's version of the little engine that could. Every time it looks like the show is about to get canceled, its dedicated and vocal fanbase come to the rescue, demanding another season. Star Robert Buckley (Clay) told MTV News on the green carpet at the CW upfronts on Thursday (May 20) that he didn't get the news of their renewal for season eight until this week.

MTV Shows

"Oh my God! We got picked up. Woo!" he exclaimed, kidding that he just found out on the carpet. "No, I found out on Tuesday morning-ish, and I found out from an Internet website. Just goes to show you the power of the press."

'LIFE UNEXPECTED,' 'OTH,' 'SMALLVILLE': NEWS FROM THE CW UPFRONT
The good news for fans of "One Tree Hill" and "Life Unexpected" is that both series will be on The CW in the fall. The (potentially) bad news is that at the moment, they aren't guaranteed full seasons.

"We don't know if they're going to come back yet for 22 episodes each," CW Entertainment president Dawn Ostroff said Thursday (May 20) at the network's upfront. "They may. We haven't really talked about exact numbers yet."

Ostroff also says that each show will likely start off with a 13-episode order, and additional shows will be determined by how well they perform (they're paired up on Tuesday nights in the fall). The CW will likely be ordering more shows for midseason as well -- so far the only midseason pickup is a reality show called "Shedding for the Wedding" -- and will need to find spots for them, which would mean benching some shows for a while.

Nonetheless, Ostroff says "OTH" and "Lux" will "probably" end up with 22-episode orders. "Our main concern was getting them on together in the fall," she says. "Then we'll also have some midseason [shows] behind it."

Sophia Bush, who shot a pilot for ABC this spring (it wasn't picked up), will be returning to "One Tree Hill," Ostroff says.

SHANTEL VANSANTEN MAKES HER HOLLYWOOD ROUNDS LAST NIGHT
Oh my wardrobe change! Shantel VanSanten was spotted at three Hollywood events last night where she changed her look from head-to-toe for each!

First up for the night was an appearance at the press conference for the Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup. Shantel kept it casual in an Alice + Olivia jumpsuit with her Omelle sandals--which you may remember Sophia borrowing during fashion week earlier this year. Rally for Kids is a foundation very close to Shantel's heart, you'll often see her at events to support the cause. For more information on Rally for Kids, please visit www.rallyforkids.com.

After the press conference Shantel slipped into a Rebecca Minkoff mini with Valentino pumps at the LG sponsored Victoria Beckham & Eva Longoria Parker Host A Night Of Fashion & Technology event before ending her night at E! Entertainment's 20th Birthday Celebration where she got comfy in a Robert Rodriguez romper and Brian Atwood pumps. Shantel partied the night away with her OTH cast members Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols, Jana Kramer, and Robert Buckley.

'OTH' CAST CELEBRATES E! ENTERTAINMENT'S 20TH BIRTHDAY!
Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols, Shantel VanSanten, Robert Buckley, and Jana Kramer all attended E! Entertainment's 20th Birthday Celebration tonight which was held at The London Hotel in West Hollywood.

Nothing like a little summer kick-off party for the cast of One Tree Hill before they have to head back to North Carolina to begin filming the anticipated eight season.

SCHWAH ON CLIFFHANGERS, LAST MINUTE RENEWAL & 'LUX' RIVALRY
via Zap2it -- Last Tuesday (May 18), a day after the seventh season finale of "One Tree Hill" aired, The CW announced that the series will be back this fall for an eighth year.

Though the show's cast and crew had the luxury of being renewed early over the last couple seasons, that was not the case this time around.

According to show creator Mark Schwahn, the decision really did come down to the last possible second and, though Monday's (May 17) finale included some pretty serious cliffhangers, the producers truly didn't know if they would have the opportunity to tie them up.

Schwahn, who says he and his cast and crew couldn't be more giddy and energized about getting that chance, was kind enough to tell Korbi TV the true story of how the 11th hour renewal actually went down...

When Clay and Quinn were shot just seconds before the finale faded to black, we figured you knew for sure that the show was getting another season. Is that not true?
MS: It's such a good question and, you know, I haven't talked to anyone about this -- I don't think I've even done an interview since [last fall] when you and I talked -- but no, I saw some speculation online about [the show's fate], but I knew five minutes before you guys posted it. |

'OTH' STAR ROBERT BUCKLEY CELEBRATES RENEWAL NEWS
via JustJared.com -- Chad Michael Murray wraps his arm around a mystery male on Friday night (May 21) in Los Angeles. The twosome celebrated a pal's birthday party at a local bowling alley!

As for rumors that the 28-year-old actor would return to One Tree Hill... "I'm not ruling anything out," OTH regular Robert Buckley told E!. "Knowing the way [OTH creator] Mark Schwahn works...that guy is always pulling stuff out of his hat. Anything can happen."

05.26.10 - SOPHIA BUSH HOSTS RACHEL PALLY PARTY
Sophia Bush hosts a special trunk show at the Sigerson and Morrison boutique in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (May 26).

The 27-year-old One Tree Hill actress celebrated the fashion brands Rachel Pally and Sigerson and Morrison alongside Vampire star Rachel Leigh Cook and Amy Smart.

Sophia recently admitted that she's been dating co-star Austin Nichols for quite a long time! "We've been dating off and on for the past four years," Sophia told E!. "We had so many years of history prior to him coming to work on the show and I think someone taking a job and moving their life across the country to show you how much they care is pretty much the most romantic gesture that a person could make."

'OTH' CREATOR MARK SCHWAHN: WILL SEASON 8 BE ITS LAST?
Last week, "One Tree Hill" was picked up by The CW for an 8th year, just two days before the network's official fall schedule was presented to advertisers in New York.

The 11th hour renewal was a big victory for the show's cast, crew and its creator, Mark Schwahn, who tells Korbi TV that this next year is really a gift to the loyal fans who have stuck with "OTH" for seven years and deserve to see its storylines tied up properly.

So, will this 8th go-round be the series' last? Schwahn weighs in ...

Do you see Season 8 as "One Tree Hill"'s swan song?
MS:
It's such a great question because nobody's talking like that! I never say never with this show. You know, our back's been against the wall every year. And going into this [upcoming] season, at the Upfronts, [the network] announced [that it would be] the final season of "Smallville." They didn't do that with us.

SOPHIA BUSH: AUSTIN NICHOLS TOOK 'OTH' JOB FOR ME!
Kissing costars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols aren't hiding their relationship anymore, but who knew they've actually been dating for years?

It was news to us when the One Tree Hill star shared that tidbit last night at E!'s 20th birthday bash.

"We've been dating off and on for the past four years," Sophia told me at the London West Hollywood hotel.

Sophia was understandably wary about dating a costar after what she refers to as the "Chad [Michael Murray] debacle," but Austin made a grand gesture that convinced her to go for it...
