THE CAMERAS ROLL ON SEASON SIX
As you may have heard, One Tree Hill has begun production on the sixth
season. We spoke to Hilarie Burton the day before filming started back up and
she was so excited to head back to work!! As always filming takes place in
Wilmington, North Carolina -- so, if you're planning a trip -- now's the time.
The sixth season is scheduled to premiere on Monday, September 1st at 9pm on the
CW.

Hello again! Four-and-a-half years after the searing and surprising events
that marked their final days at Tree Hill
High, old friends return to their North Carolina hometown. Some of them reached
the goals they set as teens: Lucas published his novel, Brooke rocked the
fashion world as an acclaimed couturière and Haley became the teacher she always
yearned to be. Some didn't: Peyton crashed and burned in L.A., and Nathan saw
his promise of pro hoops glory evaporate in a single, violent moment. But once
they're back home in this
involving 5-Disc, 18-Episode Season Five Set, everyone discovers so much is the
same: love, friendship, challenges, triumphs, laughs, tears...and dreams. As
Lucas says, it's just the beginning.

DOWNLOAD JOY'S NEW SONG ON iTUNES!
Bethany Joy Galeotti's latest single, "Feel This," which was featured in the
fifth season
finale has been generating an incredible internet response! The buzz is
crazy! After playing on OTH, the song soared on the iTunes Rock charts and has
been selling thousands of copies on
CDBaby.com!
The song features the Washington based-band ENATION -- who actually originally
wrote and recorded the track. For those who don't know, Joy's husband Michael
Galeotti plays keyboards in the band.
This amazing song was best described by the band as, "A pop rock ballad
complimented with an emotional rock experience performed with intimacy and
beauty all around, encouraging freedom of soul and spirit to let go and
believe."
Word on the street is that Joy's highly anticipated album is set to be released
the Fall of 2009. We'll keep you posted on further details.
In the meantime, if you haven't downloaded "Feel This" off of iTunes yet --

VOTE FOR OTH IN THE CW SOURCIES!
The CW Sourcies have been
back in full effect this summer! So far, One Tree Hill has been nominated
in two categories of the The Sourcies 2008. While Supernatural held the
lead in the "Men In Suits" category over Lucas and Nathan preparing for the L/L
wedding that never was last season, we want to make sure OTH takes the lead this
week in "Best Slapstick"!
This portion is all about the super silly and funny moments this past season the
network. So, if you couldn't help but love the scene where Angie giggled at
Brooke tossing stuffed animals at Peyton's face then go

Last year Supernatural won the majority of the awards. Let's show the CW what

NEW CAST MOVIE NEWS!!
Lee Norris recently signed onto a new film project! The movie is titled
Blood Done Sign My Name, which is based off the autobiographical book
by Timothy B. Tyson. The movie is based on the true story as told by Tyson, a
white professor of African-American studies who examines the civil rights
struggle in the South. The main focus of the story is on the murder of a young
black man in the early 1970's who's tragedy "dramatically widened the racial gap
in the author's hometown of Oxford, N.C.". Lee will portray Roger Oakley, one of
the murderers who's acquittal of the killing creates outrage among the town.
Filming will take place in North Carolina, so don't expect it to interfere with
any "Mouth" storylines!
We'll have more information on both movies as they progress.
-----
While we anxiously await the
release of The Narrows, Sophia Bush is already working on another film!
Sophia has been cast as "Mary" in the romantic comedy Table for Three.
The film is about a suddenly single guy who invites what he thinks is a perfect
couple to move into his apartment, only to discover they quickly insert
themselves into all aspects of his life.
Sophia will star alongside Jennifer Morrison (House), Brandon Routh (Superman
Returns), and Jesse Bradford (Flags of Our Fathers).
-----
James Lafferty has been
cast as "Iraq Jack", a lead role in S. Darko, the sequel to 2001's
Donnie Darko. The film centers around Donnie's younger sister, Samantha (Daveigh
Chase, Big Love) and her best friend Corey (Briana Evigan, Step Up 2)
who take a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions. The
movie also stars Elizabeth Berkley (CSI: Miami) and Ed Westwick (Gossip
Girl).
Production for S. Darko began at the end of May. Filming locations are said to
be in Los Angeles, California and Utah.
This is a very exciting project for James to be working on! While we've all got
to see the majority of the cast in different roles lately, it'll be a nice
change to see James in action and stretching his acting chops as a different
character.
MICHAELA MOVES ON TO LAW & ORDER!
Attention all you Lucas/Lindsay fans! Michaela McManus, who portrayed "Lindsey
Strauss" during season five has been added to the cast of NBC's Law & Order:
Special Victim's Unit, a spin-off series of Law & Order. Lindsey will
be playing the role of the new Assistant District Attorney according to
E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos.
In a statement from the One Tree Hill camp, they describe Michaela's
departure as a loss for the show.
"Not only is the loss of Michaela a, well, loss, I'm also guessing the powers
that be are none to happy that this casting news sure seems to point to a
Lucas/Peyton pairing--or at the very least, a not-so-bright future for Lucas and
Lindsey.
Though, of course, anything can and does happen in Tree Hill, so we'll have to
tune in this fall to see."
It was fun while it lasted! But, word on the street is that Lindsey still made
sure to film some scenes of the upcoming OTH season.
We wish Michaela the best of luck on SVU!

SOPHIA DISHES ON THE SPLIT AND OBAMA
After keeping mum on the subject for so long, Sophia Bush has finally spoken out
about her relationship ending with her Stay Alive co-star, Jon Foster.
Us
Weekly caught up with Sophia at the Switch Boutique Summer BBQ in L.A. where
she declared that she and Foster "broke up, like, a year ago... I am single.
We are really good friends. We keep in touch, and we love each other to death...
You can love somebody, and not be in love with them, and I think that was a
really valuable lesson. We weren't ready to get married, but it definitely
doesn’t mean we don't care about each other."
These days, she told Us "the only two men I have time for are Barack Obama
and my trainer. So those are my relationships." What's so appealing about
Obama? "I love that he is the first politician who doesn't feel like a
politician," she said. "Senator Obama is the one person who's saying, 'We
can change everything - but it can't just be me, and it can't just be you.'"
TOP 28 TV CASTMATES WITH PERFECT CHEMISTRY!
Bethany Joy Galeotti and James Lafferty who play the heart of One Tree Hill's
power-couple, Nathan and Haley have made the list of Entertainment Weekly's "Top
28 TV Castmates with Perfect Chemistry" list! EW.com has asked their online
readers to tell them which television characters "mesh well together" and just
click whether it be in friendship... or romantically. We don't know about you
guys, but after being married for most of the series and having some serious ups
and downs, we can't think of many on-screen couples who have more chemistry than
NALEY!
We thought EW.com reader, Sarah said it best with her statement on the couple.
"For five years we've watched this duo portray a beloved couple. Their
chemistry is gold, and has never failed to amaze. Their presence really owns the
screen. They just have this simple grace, comfort, and pureness to the way they
portray this couple. They never cease to amaze, and really bring it each week."
Reader, Jessie added that Nathan and Haley are "the reason why everyone
believes in true love."
Among the list of character couples are David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky
& Hutch), Alan Hale Jr. and Bob Denver (Gilligan and the Skipper,
Gilligan's Island), Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel (Lorelai and Rory,
Gilmore Girls), and Gabrielle Christian and Mandy Musgrave (Spencer and
Ashley from The N's South of Nowhere).
